I purchased the retail version of Vista Ultimate so I could migrate it between computers multiple times legally. I only did that because I assumed that their release cycle had become once every 5-6 years. Otherwise I wouldhave just purchased the cheaper OEM version. I'll never purchase the retail version again. The screeners all look like Vista. Hey what if it's a backwards directed marketing campaign? I mean they still need to move X amount of copies of Vista. Maybe the ploy is "Our next operating system is based on Windows Vista, that's how much we are sure that got it right with Vista and are moving in the right direction." hmmmm.....
